The Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity has been disbanded by the General Fraternity effective February 19, 2009. . . . due to repeated violations of the Fraternity’s risk management policies by the Chapter and disregard for previously imposed sanctions placed upon its membership.

It's a maybe. Since their HQ, nor the chapter has released a definitive statement regarding their charter, I'm going to leave it alone. It's pretty common with (some) fraternities to lose school recognition but keep their charters.

For a small group like this which probably relies on the income produced by this chapter to fund the national programs, they simply can't afford to revoke the charter.

The Alpha Tau Omega chapter at the University of Missouri was closed this past January for RMF.

I have no clue. I was thinking the same thing. I can't imagine what they must have been doing. What sucks is at our last convention (2 years ago) we actually had Toria Tolley, former CNN news anchor, give a speech on how to be careful with what you do and say on social media sites. She talked about not going around and harassing people or putting up pictures you wouldn't want your grandmother to see. She is right. I am saddened by this loss of a great chapter. I really hope things work out, in the end and that we get to go back in 4 years.

It's possible that they posted pictures of some kind of RM violation. And it mentioned disrespectful treatment of fellow members, so maybe the two are linked?

That could be it. I wonder if it was for a stupid reason (like having the girls do a scavenger hunt-which is seen as hazing at some schools) or for something truly legit.
