Yeah, weren't the sheeps a DKE thing? I never heard about that with Theta Xi's... Huskyman, what frat are you in? Sounds like you've got definite opinions about which houses will draw the crowds...

Nahh it really was our house. The DEKE thing was when the guy committed suicide because of hazing in 92 or so. The sheep thing was unfortunately us. We do nothing like that anymore. We don't haze at all. We do kinda make fun of it though. Like our I week is called F.S. week. Friendly secrets week. Also deemed F sheep week. Pretty funny huh.

back to the fav mixer theme.....
mine would have to be GI Joe and Barbie. i mean, what boy didn't play with GI Joe's and what girl didn't play with Barbie. And dressing up as a Barbie is a lot more fun than you may think. I mean...... there's malibu barbie, career barbie, ballet barbie, princess barbie..... it just goes on and on.
also, any around the world function is awesome. the more countries the better.

Re: Can a dry event work well?

Okay, so I posted a little thing about this earlier. A event with a dry atmosphere and a well-known DJ. Yeah it worked really well! We had around 1,200 or so people come over. We had two huge dance floors. The DJ thought it was great. Everyone still wonders how we actually pulled out the best party they have ever been to. And all this from a dry house? This proves that dry events can work. One consulation though... he event was full of drunk people. If you are having a dry party you will find two things if it giong good. other Fraternities will hate you that night. We had Tekes cancel their party, Delts party was empty. DU's cancelled. And Sigma Chi tried to break in because they were pissed that girls would come over drink their beer and then come over next door to ours to have a good time. Those damn sigma chi's threw a potato canon out our 3rd story window and had it land on one of our cars. Ya just have to watch out for stupid drunk kids. As for things to serve, we gave out water and popsicles because it was really hot. We bought about 200 water bottles and their were 3 left the next day. 400 popsicles, I didn't even get one!The party was amazing and dry parties can work but only if you get a good attraction. If anyone wants to come, we are having another in the Spring. E-mail me to get details.

Actually, DU didn't cancel that night, we didn't even have a party scheduled that night.

My Bad!

Sorry bout' that! rumor I guess. Maybe it was Theta Delta Chi. Someone on 19th there. Hey, if you guys want to do anything with the same DJ, we are probably gonna fly him over again and have him do something in the Spring. Tell me if your interested. We can meet or something and I'll show you some pics from the last time. Dan's schedule is booking up though so, if you really want to do this, try to get back to me as soon as possible. Again, sorry about spreading a stupid rumor.
