At my school, we had Acacia, Triangle and Farmhouse. (two have since left, but they had a long history). They functioned like every other social fraternity: Homecoming, parties, mixers, houses, pledges, participation on campus, etc. Farmhouse was (and is) consistently a top award winning group on campus.

/quick hijack......some campuses are using a greek expansin committee with members from each council and sometimes faculty and staff. it's a great way to get buy in and input from all affected communities since the new chapter would affect them all, not just one council. especially on small campuses, you don't want a new chapter that the girls love, but guys hate and vice versa. /hijack

Don't some Triangle chapters operate as Delta Tau, kind of? I am slightly familiar with them, but not very...I recall seeing the Delta Tau greek letters around their house at two different schools.

The Delta Tau is what they call the Triangle Crest which is a Delta with a T set inside.
The Chapter House at Iowa State uses this symbol as their letters.

tangent: DU chapter at ASU started off as Delta Tau local with pretty much the same logo.

As many have already mentioned, they function just as other groups do. They're generally a good group of guys, though some chapters give more of the Tri-Lam feel (from revenge of the nerds) than others
Just because they don't have greek letters does not mean they do not have a rich fraternal history.
At the University of Oklahoma they participate in IFC rush and also have events with Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies, and we enjoy having them around.

Thank you for the responses! I've noticed that they are on many campuses, and I've been doing my research, so I know a lot about them now. I just wanted to know how they functioned and participated on campus and with the rest of the Greek community.
The fact that another group is considering joining campus is pretty exciting, as it hasn't happened in a while. And IFC has had two fraternities dwindle down to nothing in just the past couple years (although KDR has been reinstated and is making a strong comeback). I think that the fraternities, and the Greek community in general, might benefit a great deal if any GLO were to join the campus.
