Such vast experience for a Spring 07 person.

I blame members for most of the things nongreeks say to us.

They don't make this stuff up.

Thanks. I'm still learning a lot, but many say I'm pretty mature to be fresh off the block...

I agree...many things I've heard before being in the bond came from what others heard from older brothers. Nevertheless, it's always funny to hear the things that come out of people's mouth.

Especially when you get "charged" by a non-Greek...

Wow, talk about necroposting.

Ok here's one: After I crossed and I was working the front desk in the dorm on one of my shifts (I was an RA at the time) one of my residents looks at my line shirt and wondered what the letters meant.

So I told her, "Kappa Alpha Psi".

And her response was, "oh, is that a new organization or something?"

*Sigh*

This one was more of a statement...

Right after I crossed, I was at the airport to fly home for Christmas. I was checking my luggage, and being the neo that I am, I travel in paraphernalia. I had on an "AKA 1908" hat (I've worn the hell out of it too!) The lady checking me in then hands me my ticket, and cheerfully says:

"OK, **(my name)**, ALSO KNOWN AS nineteen oh-eight, here's your ticket, Gate B1."

I took it and walked away kind of confused. It wasn't until I was waiting at the gate that I started chuckling, "ooohhh I get it."

I've heard of people making these mistakes:
AKA= also known as
DST= daylight savings time
PBS= public broadcasting system
any others?

KAPsi= KAY Jewelers. With all those diamonds, it's natural to get the two confused.

Some funny comments at that bbq, being that all his friends that I've known when I was growing up are Ques also.
