I am not a lawyer, having just started the application and acceptance process. I do however have a father and an uncle who are partners in two of the top law firms in East Texas and Dallas....one of which has been mentioned in this thread. I have plenty of experience and knowledge of how both of their recruitment practices function. Internships tend to help with those things.....not to mention that they are family. But there are plenty of ways to get around grades and other law school experiences. Granted, I can't see either firm allowing a complete moron to work for them, but that is common sense. Who you know, references, recommendations, etc. also play a huge role.......which I have seen in many fraternity brothers as well as some of my older friends. Maybe you should get off your high horse and not act quite like such a know it all bitch.

Macallum, shitterbock, how fun would it be to secretly e-mail this thread to each respective lawfirms, where you two d-bags profess your almighty wisdom. I'm sure your 'top notch' lawfirms would love to be associated with you.
Anyone up for the task? Simple anonymous e-mail address at Yahoo and a quick e-mail to each firm, would make someones 'daddy' proud.
And yes, making coffee and being a gopher for the top lawyers in your company, does make you a lawyer. So, keep on making coffee boys - Juan Valdez is proud.

You're more than welcome to send an email to my father, I'll tell his secretary to be on the look out for it.

Yeah, discussing Southern lifestyles and talking about law firm recruitment of firms we grew up with would really upset them.
By all means, send away.
