Was at our alum panhel dessert reception this afternoon with AGDLYNN and she said she did that excel thing too...she tried to esplain it but I guess I need someone standing over me showing me how to do it step by step! Some things are kinda hard for us oldsters!

Someone asked for this in the Alabama thread and I posted it there, but it seemed silly to have the Auburn list in the Alabama thread and not in the Auburn thread. So, this is sorted by sorority, then state, the town.
ETA: Forget it.

Don't forget the counting by state too.
I appreciate what you did. I found the Auburn list hard to sort last night because I kept pasting in the wrong number of cells or something.
I could sort by name or GLO but not by town. I ended up just control F ing by hometown.

Excel Hijack:
The most helpful function for this is "Text to columns". That separates each field in a string into separate columns. Then you can just sort by whichever column interests you.

That is actually super helpful. I was wondering how to get the info to divide without having to cut and paste individually. Definitely something useful for work, too! Thanks.
