I really like Chris R - he is just adorable to me (not in the sex-you-up sort of way) - I was glad he stayed.

Someone PLEASE get a big burlap sack and carry SanjayBYE home & take Phil with him - Phil has never sounded good to me.

I am getting to be bleh about Chris S. Last night, Lakisha sounded creepy-old-pervert-lady-next-door'ish to me - the song was bad, and she looked awful singing it. Even a million bucks of bling couldn't help her. I wouldn't have been sad to see her go.

Melinda is growing on me, and I still like Jordin. Haley's shoes were SUPER cute last night - her song was good, but she isn't right for AI. Sort of like a watered down version of Katheryn McPhee (that is her name, right?!) - shows you how much I cared about last season. Blake is still fun to watch, but he can't afford to be predictable.

I just finished watching last night's American Idol on DVR and I think I tune in every week just to hear Melinda Doolittle sing. (Even with all the gleeking this week, she was still ridiculously awesome)

Here are some other observations made by yours truly from last night's show:

1. According to the BF, the best part of Sanjaya's performance was his sister's boobage. I had to disagree:

2. Timberlake sounded good tonight, I really dug the stools and "acoustic" intro. Poor Beyonce didn't do so well this week, the song she chose had so much potential. Too bad it didn't live up to expectations.

3. Blake is cool. He needs to be fronting a band like Maroon 5 or something.

4. When LaKisha was singing, BF asked, "Why does this sound like a 007 James Bond Movie theme song?" My response? "Because it is, you dolt." GG me.

5. Every year about 440,000 people die from illnesses related to cigarettes. Last night, Jordin Sparks' performance made at least 8 people slit their wrists. Not exactly enough to warrant a Surgeon General's warning, but if she has 55,000 more performances like that.......

6. I hope that twenty years down the road, when she's older, smarter, and tougher, that girl crying in the audience gets to see how awesome she was on American Idol.

7. You can mute Haley Scarnato and still enjoy her performance and Simon said it best -- "you'll be remembered tonight but it won't be for your performance."

I agree with crying girl looking like Marcia Brady.

My friends at school today were talking about last night's performances and one said (no joke): "I wonder if crying girl is psychologically insane. I mean, at first I thought he was making her cry because he sounded so bad. Because really, he sucks. But when I realized she was crying out of sheer happiness I had to question this girl's reality perception. Because Sanjaya can't sing his way out of a sinking ship." We all concurred.

I'm sad that the person who left tonight left, but the performance given last night wasn't great. Didn't wow. And didn't require every crazy nut in America to pick up the phone and vote for a she-man.

Did anyone else notice that Gina thought she was in the Bottom 3 because she got called out at the same time as Sanjaya and Haley? Way to tell America what you think of your competition. I mean, she's right...but still.

Crying girl was crying the whole show - it wasn't just for Sanjaya. And I heard on the radio this morning that they moved her up to the front when they saw her crying early on so they could show it more. She was crying b/c she was excited to be at AI, not b/c she loved Sanjaya so much.

Un-cultured is a word? No, I'm not un-cultured. I like LaKisha. Shit. Did I spell that right? I must be un-cultured and ignorant because I don't know how to spell her name.

In all reality I do like LaKisha and Gina. For the girls I'm pulling for them. For the guys, I love Chris Sligh. Too bad I missed last night's episode. Damn work.

Elliot Yamin's CD came out last Tuesday and I have to say, I like what I hear!

I dig the fact that he did "A Song for You" again.

Seriously! He is a damn good singer... I think he blows all of the current male AI contestants out of the water.

Gwen Stefani looks so strange without red lipstick, I hardly recognize her.

Chris was terrible and all over the place. Sanjaya may be safe another week.
