I agree that Max is acting jealous of Byrd-she married straight out of HS and didn't have the opportunities that Byrd has made for herself...although Max has accomplished a lot she seems to suffer from grass is greener complex with both of her sisters...

However, I think Max did have a right to say something to Byrd-whether or not she had that second conversation with Malik-the fact that Kenny clocked him on the job Max was going to lose her job...something that would not have happened if Byrd had laid her head anywhere else that night. Byrd wants to be treated as a grown woman than she needs to recognize that actions have consequences far beyond HER immeadiate needs & stop breaking down when things don't go as she wants and it gets too tough for her to deal with.

I missed the first few minutes but I agree-Haylee is grown, no need for moms to be all up in the house unless it was an event for Haylee (ie wedding, baby shower).

AGreed with everyone. I also felt that it would be something if we saw Haylee during the episoide. You know, run in and hug moms or something, but the chick was MIA so it "looked" to me like mommy was there for no reason. Parading around in a think bikini was too muc. Sitting on the bed after doing the do was waaaay too much. Telling Terri she was uptight was too mush. Then the tantric sex coincidence and Terri knowing that's what Chuckie was practicing was toooo much for her.I thought Max was out of line...period. I am glad Lem fought that itsh off. Two wrongs don't make a right but in the world of tit for tat, he had every right.

My SO was happy that old girl pulled out the condom but then confused as to why Lem stopped after that. I had to explain to himn that that's the reason a lot of people who cheat have unprotected sex. Because the conscious effort to put on a condom is too much...too planned...too "now I can't say 'oops, it just happened baby.'" She was ready to give up all the gizoods and Lem's sweet a$$ was lookin' just right with the bald head and goatee. Him and Kenny standing together looked like two bowling balls...shiny and CLEAN!!!

Malik went out like a sucka. He had the nerve to have attitude and stuff. His lip was to' back. Kenny did damage. Now he has a cut on his lip and a$$. Maybe that's how he got that cut. The last married woman's husband/brother in law kicked this a$$. Just a thought. Scar is outta control.

Good ep. Next week I'm a litle disturbed that they are trying to wrap up loose ends, so to speak. Uncle Pete, like we've seen him in the past year or two, dies. Aunt Ruthie, or whatever, comes back to check everyone...

I finally saw the first 7 minutes and NO SHE DI'NT walk up in that bedroom after they had just got done!!! Charles should have never given her that key. A key to a woman means more than the literal meaning. I could see if Haley was under 18 but she is 19.

I still missed what happens next week but lawd a mercy Uncle Pete dies.

I wonder if Nyla (ACTRESS who plays Jeremiah) will have sexual identity issues as a grown up!?!?!?

I don't see it as Max being jealous of Bird. I see it as WTF is wrong with my sister!?!?!?!?!?!? I see a hint of jealousy overall towards both sisters though.

Oh and I predict that Max goes into labor in the final ep as a sort of BACK TO THE BEGINNING re: Soul Food the movie.

I too was very upset that homegirl sat down on the bed with Terry up to her neck in covers. I would've had to scoot her off the bed with my foot or something. That was just unacceptable. We're grown, get out!

I'm glad that Lem didn't give in, but I honestly want to see him and Bird get a divorce. She has issues and is not even trying to get over them.

Max is just a little emotional and doesn't always think first. I don't think her initial feelings were completely jealousy, but some sincere concern in there as well. She probably just wishes her sister paid her more attention and took some lessons from her in mothering and wifey 101.
