I hope you enjoy GreekChat - I think you're the first Furman ADPi here! (at least, that I can remember!)

Dear Sisters,
This is my first time posting on Greekchat. I just found it today and it seemed like a great resource. I am from BU's Rho chapter. We are looking forward to a week of Spring Recruitment upon our return to school! Hope you all had a nice holiday break, and "may all your troubles last as long as your new year's resolutions!"
Roll Call
1. Boston University
2. Rho
3. Collegian (sophomore)
4. New Member Coordinator (Just got elected in November; I'm so excited!!)
5. I was torn between two sororites during recruitment. Then I went to Pref night for both of them; one was very nice and elegant, but the other one (ADPi's) made me cry. I was just overwhelmed by the obvious love/friendship between the girls. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I haven't looked back since.
6. My favorite ADPi memory is having a sleepover with my Diamond sister after initiation. We stayed up talking until 5 AM. Despite our age differences (she was a senior and I was a freshman), I truly consider her one of my best friends. Unfortunately, she graduated in May and I was just devestated. It hasn't been too bad though--we still have nightly "phone dates" (some are 2+ hours!) and managed to visit each other twice this year. She was the biggest factor in why I fell in love with ADPi, and it my most sincere wish that I can be as good of a Big to an Alpha someday as she was to me.
My most recent favorite memory was being elected New Member Coordinator (Alpha Mom)...I absolutely cannot wait to meet our new girls!!

Welcome to GreekChat, AlphaMom!! I know we have at least one other Rho sister here, but I haven't seen her in a while. Hope you enjoy yourself, though - and thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself!

Great!! We just celebrated our 7 month anniversary. I read your blog about school. I always knew you were a smarty pants :-)
I'm going out with Holley and Hoppe tonight for my birthday tonight. It was good to see all the girls over the break.
How long were you in Cal?

5) I rushed my freshman year. I thought it would be a great experiece even if I opted out of joining a house. Well Pref night came and I had to make a decision ADPi or another house that I won't name. I struggled with the decision for over an hour!!! But when it came down to it, I loved the ADPi girls I had meet. They were genuine, wonderful women!
6) My favorite memory is from my freshman year. About 10 of us were sitting in the chapter room one Sat. night just hanging out. About 11pm out of the blue one of us say "Hey lets go to Vegas!" We thought it was a great plan. So we all piled into a one of our sister's van and drove 3 hours to vegas, walked on the strip for about 3 hours and then came home. It was so much fun. The random events are always the best!

Okay, Brianna needs to go to bed now.

I'm sorry I didn't read this until AFTER DLC! I would have introduced myself to you and the other Rho-chapter GC-poster!

1. Texas A&M University
2. Zeta Lambda
3. Collegian
4. I was FVP (treasurer) for two terms and now currently the chapter President
5. I loved how sincere my sisters are. I went through informal recruitment and loved the smaller more casual rounds and the ease I had conversing with the girls. I wanted a group of girls I could build friendship and memories with and I have definitely received that and so much more!
6. I have loved my experiences in the house. I love hanging out and talking while watching our favorite tv shows or getting ready together for a night out. This year I am especially blessed to have an executive team that's really close. Whether we are working or having fun, we do it together and have a blast!

Welcome, litlbet167. I have heard such wonderful things about your chapter of ADPi at TX A&M! I believe we have at least one Zeta Lambda alumna on our boards regularly.
