I still think Dana=Zack.
And Gardener boy is a moron who needs some serious help. But he's still hot.
George is starting to freak me out more than Paul. The diner scene was just... ugh. I do wonder what was given to Rex.

Not necessarily soap opera -- more mystery, at least in my mind.
Although, with "you have a sister," it could also be Star Wars.

I just started watching the show last night. Zach is the boy whos mom killed herself right? Which character is Dana?

Yes, Zach's mom Mary Alice killed herself, allegedly related to whatever happened to Dana. Mary Alice is the narrator of the show.

The woman who plays Mary Alice is going to get type-cast...she died the first episode of Everwood & now the first ep of Desperate Housewives...

Sidenote: The first episode of DH was not the original pilot. In the original pilot, which never aired, Sheryl Lee -- "Twin Peaks" dead-girl "Laura Palmer" -- played Mary Alice. When the show was picked up, she was replaced by someone with more of a "comic lift" in her voice.

Mary Alice is portrayed by Brenda Strong...who also played Sally Strasser on Sports Night...which coincidentally starred Felicity Huffman!

It was the HUFF (showtime series) finale last night so I missed Desperate Housewives.
