Things I picked up from the episode last night & some things from the premiere:
In the operating room where Jack first met Sarah, the other man that was being operated on was a Mr. Adam Rutherford age 57. Time of death was 8:15 (they were on Oceanic flight 815). In case anyone missed it, that is also Shannon's last name. Perhaps her father???
After Locke typed in the numbers, the weird timer/clock thing reset itself to 108 which coincidentally, is the sum of the numbers added together (4+8+15+16+23+42=108) & this number was spray painted on the wall of that weird underground hatch room.
The shark that was swimming around had the same symbol that Desmond is wearing on his clothes. That same symbol is on all the food in the storage facility where Kate is locked. It's almost hard to see unless you watch it up close & in slo-mo. Look at the sharks fin & that's where you see it.
Did anyone else find it odd that Michael gave Walt a little polar bear just like the one in the comic book & the one that Sawyer shot.

I only caught the numbers thing. The rest of what you just typed went completely over my head. Evidently I need to be watching closer.

Do any of you remember last season when Michael showed Walt all those letters he wrote that the evil mom never showed Walt? There were some drawings and cheesy jokes -- was one of the jokes the thing about the snowmen? I don't know if it was or not, but I heard it mentioned as a possibility. The idea of Michael or Walt being "him" is interesting.

I don't know if this is legit, but it was there.
It could be a spoiler, or it might not be anything. Still, I'm left saying WTF.
Go to http://oceanicflight815.com/ and click on the barcode.
Type in theislandiswaiting exactly like that.
I think there's some kind of virus or disease on that island that's making the stranded ones hear stuff. This is probably the same stuff that's making "the others" go apeshit. I have a feeling that Desmond has some kind of miracle healing power (remember when he asked Jack if he believed in miracles?)...and then the paralyzed chick suddenly could wiggle her toes.
I don't know how the hell Desmond found himself on that island, but he obviously quarantined himself from whatever's going on in the island. And he's definitely waiting for someone. Who, I don't know.

Thanks for posting that link! I haven't checked it out before, and this is great. I'm crazy bored so hopefully it will keep me occupied for awhile.

I finally found out what Walt is saying to Shannon. He's telling her to not push the button. That's what he says to her.
Weird. Perhaps the button from the computer? Who knows?

I have seen alot of people talk about Walt's whisper to Shannon so I decided to see what I could do with it. I recorded the sound where Shannon sees Walt into my computer.
These are SWF files, in other words, flash files. Once they play in your browser, hit Refresh or Reload to play again. I hope this works.
Here is the audio of the scene played normally:
http://img188.imageshack.us/my.php?image=walt17jq.swf
Here is where things get interesting. I reversed Walt's whisper and words are clearly being said:
http://img188.imageshack.us/my.php?image=walt23cf.swf
So if Walt's whisper truly is backwards, maybe what he is saying has been modified too. I cut and paste the word "don't" in a different spot and here is the result:
http://img188.imageshack.us/my.php?image=walt36ip.swf
Is Walt saying to Shannon "Don't press the button, the button's bad"?
If so, is he referring to the computer in the underground living quarters?
I also noticed that the crickets are not chirping while Walt is speaking to Shannon, then after Sayed calls to her their sound fades back in along with a few dog barks.
Any other thoughts? :undecided:

I have some SPOILERS for tonights episode if anyone wants to read it.
Kate gets one of Desmonds guns (a big one) & hits him on the back of the head. He accidentally fires & falls to the ground. When Jack, Locke, & Kate kneel by him, he looks up & looks absolutely horrified. His fire from Kate's hit caused him to fire a bullet into the computer. He is stunned & says "What did you do?"
Jin and Michael try to hoist Sawyer up b/c they are trapped in this big underground hole. The huge black guy pokes a spear like thing causing them to fall. He then opens it & throws in a bound woman. That woman is Ana-Lucia played by Michelle Rodriguez.
Locke is in a restaurant with the woman Helen & she gives him the key to her house. She admits she followed him & saw him by his fathers house.

Because of the Sox game, they are showing it at 11:35 here in Boston. I'm not too happy, I can't stay up that late.
I wish I didn't read those spoilers, I just can't look away.

Ok, so I really thought Jack was on the right track with the computer thing just being a whole psychological game.... I wonder if it's real.... Crazy.
