I don't think those little hydraulic (sp) machines will challenge me too much and I would definately need to supplement with a cardio work out twice a week.

Toocute (and anyone else interested)
Kraft is running a promotion that if you by three Kraft products out of theiir "healthy" lines, you get three Free workouts at Curves That way, you could at least see if it is a worthwhile workout for you. My co-worker's mom joined and that (with other lifestyle changes) has helped her lose 50lbs. I am thinking about checking it out as well. I am sadly short on time most days as well.
I am now a WW member. I needed something to help me stay on track and I am finding counting points helps me do that.

Thanks Kimmie. I'll look into that. WW is an excellent program. I lost 20 pounds with them. I'm trying to get back to counting points.

100+ lb. Weight Loss
Hey! I wanted to share some info with all of you. On my "site" (that hasn't been updated in a million years) there's some good info for weight loss.

Well, not that I'd been checking in regularly anyway, but I wanted to give an update. I've been doing the SouthBeach-ish diet for 3 weeks tomorrow (I think), and the last time I weighed myself (on this past Thursday), I had just broke 10 lbs, with a total of 11lbs lost. I am happy, yet I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow night and getting on the scale, I was a really, really bad girl on my vacation. I wouldn't be suprised if I gained 4-5 lbs. Anyway, I am also doing the "Walk Away the Pounds" videos that I found a Kmart, and it's cool. I am feeling my clothes get a bit looser, but I have a loooooong way to go. I know that I can do it though!

Hello ladies,
I don't mean to crash your board, but I just wanted to say that I have had success with weight watchers. I have been doing it for 6 weeks and I have lost 12 pounds so far. It really does work.
I have a lot to lose, and it's coming off slowly but surely.
Check out the Weight Watchers thread in the Chit Chat forum too

Chee-ZEE. But they really work. I still keep mine around on rainy days when I don't feel like walking to the gym.

Back on the bandwagon
A sista had fell off, but I'm back on. I decided to join WW last night because after 3 solid weeks of doing it on my own, I fell off. I need the support of the meetings. I need to weigh in every week so I can be accountable not only to someone other than myself. And money is a heck of a motivator. I paid for 9 weeks up front, and I do NOT plan on wasting my money. So I'm going to the grocery store today to get everything that I need food and snack-wise.
*sigh* This won't be easy, but I'm ready. I'll need y'all for support.
Gym work-outs start today or tomorrow.

Has anyone ever used or owns the gazelle? I am thinking about buying one and I need opinions on it?

I have one, but I don't use it. I am too clumsy for the Gazelle. You have to have a certain sense of balance and form to do well on this machine. It's pointless/doesn't work if you don't have correct form.
Try it out in the store first (if you can) or take advantage of that try of 30 days deal they have before you purchase it.
Good Luck!

Anna Nicole Smith
I was using the weightloss program Slim in 6 that I ordered from an infomercial. I stuck with it for three weeks and then backslid but I'm starting up again this week.
Has anyone seen Anna Nicole Smith lately?? She dropped 69 pounds from some diet pill. And she really doesn't seem like the type to be motivated enough to jump on a treadmill. If that bleached cow can drop pounds, I know I can shed these 18 I've been trying to get rid of.

I've been hearing that Anna had some surgery in conjunction with those pills to drop the weight.
Stay away from the diet drugs!!!!

Because I am a lazy bia, I didn't go to the gym not one time last week. But let's not focus on the negatives, shall we? What did I do well? I stuck to my points as best I could. I wrote down everything I ate, shameful or not. I didn't overeat when I wanted to (emotional eating). Well, let's just get to the point...
 I LOST 3.2LBS THIS WEEK!!
My goals for the coming week:
MORE fruits and veggies
MUCH MORE WATER
EXERCISE at least three times this week
Have a good week, y'all!!

Re: Re: Back on the bandwagon
Congratulations, Soror! 3.2 lbs (don't cha' love digital scales ) is the bomb... I know it's hard to get that water in, isn't it! I have to put lemon juice (real, not that fake, reconstituted stuff in the juice aisle) in mine. Plus, lemon juice has a slightly diuretic effect to help combat those nasty bloated "fat days." I hate those...
I, too, have to deal with the emotional overeating/undereating... It's tough to make rational, healthy choices about dinner when you're really stressed out!
I'll be your goal partner this week since those are all things I need to do as well... I'm going to the gym tomorrow... I have to lose 15-20 lbs.
