I'm a student, this is fine for me, but I truly hope when I get your age I'm not spending my days on a message board gossiping, complaining, and adding to the problem of welfare and poverty in America. You cannot handle someone telling you what she knows about FAMU's business school so you decide to attack her postings and her age. Her age = wisdom.

I guess I must be the DUMBEST person on GC then.

No I just have a job that up until YESTERDAY allowed me to spend a lot of time on the Net.

You know, I chose to attend Wittenberg University for its rigorous academics as well as the small school feel. I could have went to an HBCU but they did not present me with enough money. I am no less BLACKER nor any more BLACKER than my counterparts at Central State, Wilberforce, or FAMU. Anyone who believes such is DUMB!!!! We need to be elated that BLACK folks are getting EDUCATED PERIOD!!!!! FTDS!!!!!

At the end of the day, Sunflower, you are still Black. You can still get passed up for a promotion just like a grad from an HBCU no matter how qualified you are. It happened to me this week. I could be upset but I know it will allow me more time to write so that one day I don't have to be on anyone's clock but my own.

But your attitude in this thread is divisive and disrespectful.

That poor child needs help, IF she is who she claims to be. You all know that some folks wanna be down so badly that they masquerade as someone that they are not in order to get a piece of the action. And usually, when people take the tone and attitude that she had with LadyGreek, they are just looking for someone to entertain them. She's still young.

And when did it become OK for college students to be on the 'net all day, as she stated in that PM? At a fine academic establishment like FSU, shouldn't she be more concerned with her studies, community service, campus organizations?

I soooooo agree with this. With 3 brothers who were STILL in college at the time I was about to go to school, I had no choice but to go where I could get a free education. Coming from a family w/2 generations of HBCU grads, it was disheartening to accept the fact that I would be getting my education at a PWI due to this situation.

Legalization can also lead to mandatory testing and could diminish one of the ways HIV is spread.
