Ballers, I got some Louis and I ain't balling, should I check the mail for my ballers card soon?

I was talking to my friend whose boyfriend bought her a "fake" LV earlier this year , her purse looks JUST like mine, the difference is in the inside fakes are usually lined with suede while real ones aren't. The outside though was not a difference at all.

prom

prom-june 5, 2002

tickets were $65 until may 1, afterwards $80 (aint that somethin? gotta make the cash somewhere) we had a survivor-type game that went on for weeks and the winner won 2 free tix. pretty sweet, exxcept the grl who won them decided not to go and gave them away, then tried to get them back when her man decided to go.

wore a simple $80 burgundy gown with a cowl neck, simple black shoes, but hair was on and poppin. would u belive some chick spent $700 on her (custom made) dress/ she came in making this phony entrance, expecting crowds to part for her...she got to the prom at 10:30 (was from 7:30-12) and at that point no one gave a damn. custom made dresses were the thing that year. i thought they all looked crappy and/or slutty.

theme-memories in the making (dont know what i was thinking picking that theme-pretty corny)

location- leonards of great neck (pretty nice place, there were 6 other proms that night there)

date-none (was senior class pres, so had to make everything in order. but every1 that had a date had a bad time)

our prom king/queen elections were a riot. 9 girls and 4 guys ran. girl least expected won, chicks were hatin.

it was an aight nite. except none of my friends went, so i floated the whole nite.

that is all.

Re: FLASHBACK to your PROM

Did you go to your prom?
May 15, 1998
Yes, my mom made me go. My date had cancelled two weeks prior, and I didn't want a date in the first place so i was cool w/ it. bc i'd refused to go, BUT my mom won that argument. I really wasn't up for prom because I hate dresses, I hate make-up, I hate fake parties where everyone pretends to be the best of friends, I hate dresses, I hate make-up, I hate dresses, I hate make-up, and I hate dresses and make-up.

What did you wear?
I wore a long, black gown w/ diamond straps & simple black heels to match...and damn make-up.

Colors?
I don't remember the colors for prom, but I do remember that the ballroom at the hotel was beautiful!!!

Were you prom king/queen?
No.

Did you go with someone special or friend?
It turned into a girls nite out...me, my cousin, and 2 friends.

What was your prom theme?
"Today's Dreams, Tomorrow's Memories"

How much did your prom cost?
$35 per ticket

Did you go to your prom?
sophmore & junior years- military ball (Jr. ROTC)
senior year prom

What did you wear?
Soph- strapless dress w/ black bodice & blue tafetta bubble hem (I can't believe it's back in style) & blue bolero
Junior - strapless taffetta purple dress with gathered bodice & angled hem
Senior - strapless floorlength red satin dress w/ matching jacket and purse (HATED IT) & pearls
(is it obvious that I'm partial to strapless dresses?)

Colors?
No special colors for the military balls (sidenote: the guys looked dayum good in those uniforms)
Senior prom- Blue, White and Silver

Were you prom king/queen?
No

Did you go with someone special or friend?
Soph/Junior- the girls went as a group & coupled up with the guys during the ball (the balls were in conjunction with other schools)
Senior - a LOSER stand-in because my LOSER boyfriend was too busy cheating on me to go

What was your prom theme?
No themes for the military balls
Senior - I think it was "A Time to Remember" (not very memorable)

How much did your prom cost?
Military balls- don't remember if there was a fee. The dresses were storebought but my mother and I are skilled bargain shoppers

Senior year - not certain but between $50-$75. The dress was made by a family member and I had to fight tooth and nail for the color, the fabric, the style (suddenly strapless was too risque)...and it still wasn't done right! I ripped up the dress a few years later to use for sewing projects. I gave away the jacket & I use the purse to hold my dry-erase markers.

I hope we don't have to revive this thread. My prayer is that people will look at themselves before they step outside for prom!

I loved Prom!!!!

My Junior prom was the best. It was us girls. I had a friend who went to a different high and her date never showed up to pick her up and she was upset. Her date ended up going with someone else. Well, we were at church and she told me about it. She still had everything and had spent a lot of money. Luckly, my prom was that next week and I invited her and had a blast. Since she knew my friends already, we KICKED IT.

I graduated from high school in the late 90s, right on the beginning of the half-naked wave, but some of these pics on here are just out of hand!!

I had a great time at my prom. I went with a good friend of mine because my boyfriend and I had a falling out. He was there though, with some uuuuggggllllyyy girl , but he looked nice.

My dress was wine colored, like burgundy, sleeveless, long.

Our theme was something like Until we meet again.

I was the prom queen

Tickets were $65/person.
