Prediction...
Given the scorecard so far, I'll go out on a limb and say that the Dixie Chicks will win for Album of the Year.

Robyn Troup is the granddaughter and niece of Sorors. Her grandfather is William A. Lawson, Pastor Emeritus of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. I voted for her! I think she did a good job!

YAY DIXIE CHICKS!!!! I've been a fan since college and I'm glad that they are getting more props for their work.
YAY MARY!!!!
LMAO at Luda thanking O'Riley and Oprah.
Robin did a good job, but was a little that Afrika lost. And I didn't know you could vote more than once. I didn't know that Justin could pay the gutiar and piano!
Xtina tore that song up. Where was she during the funeral?
Chris Brown: Why I was thinking "Why you are stepping? You only lasted 10 minutes in Stomp The Yard. And Ye had steppers at last year's show." And why he looked like he was about to pass out when he was done?
B: Save the song for two weeks from now. JHud: That dress made your girls even bigger than they already are. Please talk to Queen about how to dress to formal events that help the girls.
Show was good, but it has been better.
ETA: I love "Hello" !

I voted twice for Afrika.
I wasn't feeling ol' girls dress or her weird hand movements. She seemed a little stiff, IMO.
I LOVED Luda's acceptance speech, loved Christina, missed Beyonce and The Police (nooooooooo!!!) and WTF was Chris Brown doing? He hasn't realized that you can't sing AND dance at the same time, so he just danced? Wasn't feeling his performance. But the James Brown tribute was on point.

I agree with DSTChaos Re: John Legend.
I can not stand to hear him nor Fantasia for more than 8 minutes. I've never really gotten into him.
Robin Troup was good, but she needs a choreographer. She seems rhythmically challenged.
I'm glad the DCs won. That was my first time hearing that song. It's a great tune. Deep lyrics.
Mary: Who you talkin' bout burning bridges? I have a guess, but I'm not saying.
Christina did well! She can blow. Bringing out JBs robe was priceless!
Chris: Ummmm, okay! LOL
Beyonce: like someone asked me...who? LOL
woo woo woo to Stevie. He's still mouring his mom, which is understandable
THE POLICE: You all are back together! YAYA!
RHCPeppers: LOL
Smokie: You look good.
Chris Rock: You are a fool!
Justin: I would not pay $100 to see your azz in the round, square, triangle-NOTHING! His songs don't sound good live. Once it has all of that computerized synthesizing, it's hard to transform it using REAL instruments.
Thanks Prince for the commercial. I hope you're at Essence (probably not). I'll see you in Vegas SOON!
Luda and TI were SHARP! Luda isn't crazy. Lady O pulled him on the side and had a tete-a-tete. He cut his hair and got new teeth. LOL I'm not mad at you Chris. LOL I hope your dad gets better.
Gnarles Barkley: What was up with the Airplane theme? You all reminded me of Captain and Teneil (sp??)
Terrence Howard: mmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Jennifer looked much better on the red carpet. Although, the camera caught her adjusting herself etc (sign erething isn't right)

^^^ Well, dang, you covered just about everything. I'm still glad for Prince and his commercial.
Great show overall! I was teary at the cape on the microphone stand with the spotlight for JB.
I screamed for Chris when he won, and you did the right thing shouting out home! You know where you came from and who supported you, even back when Hot 107.9 what was Hot 97.5. ATL is proud of you and T.I..
I was tired of watching the three contestants holding hands everytime they were on the screen like it was a pageant.
Chris Brown: The stepping was a cute idea, but stepping and singing weren't going to work. Bless yo' heart.

If someone could explain to me what B's outfit was doing and/or what look she was going for, it'd be much appreciated.
I love Chris Brown to death (he's my young thang, lol ) but at first glance I thought it was a Kappa probate. He needs to start training by singing and running, because singing 5 words while flipping isn't going to cut it. He's still my boo though.
J-Hud's GIRLS were not properly situated for the evening.
T.I. has that swag. I just can't get enough of him. I was green with envy at Robin for being in between T.I. and Justin, definitely would not mind being in the middle of that musical duo.
Am I the only one who did not enjoy Queen's dress? My girls thought it looked like a curtain.
Christina. That girl has got soul. Seriously. All that voice in that itty bitty little body, get it girl!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Corrinne, John & John trio. I love all three of those artists.
Why has Mary been in the game since forever and just NOW getting a Grammy?!
Oh, and Luda, you are a fool for that one.

Beyonce's performance left me . She just seemed off. And where was Jay-Z?
The JL/Corinne/JM performance was good. I love all three of them. I'm that Corinne didn't win any awards though.
J-Hud needs to consult with Queen on dresses that will accomodate the girls. Hers just looked like they had a mind of their own.
Christina's got a lot of soul!!! I was just that no one else came to mind to sing This is a Man's world. And bringing out his cape at the end was a nice touch. Dang shame he still. hasn't. been. buried.
Mary has come a LOOOONNG way since she was a back-up singer for Father MC. So happy she's getting her props.

I agree. Beyonce's appearance wasn't great. I could see the glue print of that wig. The dress was not tasteful, and her performance was wack. She tried to do too much with the song.

GURL, we see eye-to-eye on this one. T.I. shuts it all the way down! I think I'd get at him!

You're right. Queen's dress didn't flatter her upper body. She looked wide.
Overall I thought the show was good. I loved the Dixie Chicks' performance. They are so fly.
Mary shut it down. She looked so regal and elegant. I loved her performance.

B.c she was too 'ghetto' for them until this year, IMO.
And while she was thanking everyone and their momma, she forgot Puffy, who gave her her start in the biz.
Mary looked great, but that BRAID has got to go.

Mary always sangs her heart out, but she was on another level when she reached back for that braid to make sure it was secure. Congrats to Mary, too. I didn't realize this was her first time winning. Great stuff.

B was probably thinking "Yeah, if I give them a little taste tonight, I'll make them watch me at the Oscars in two weeks." I've seen her perform that song better on Oprah.
I agree that on the red carpet, Jennifer's dress look better. But those girls got a mind of their own. And at least on Queen's dress, the girls weren't running away.
BTW, this isn't Mary's first time winning. This is her first time winning during a broadcast. For some reason, her and Mimi don't get a lot of love from the Grammys.

I think Christina sounded great, but I have to agree that they could have found someone else to sing that song.
MJB is my absolute fav and I'm so happy she is getting her props. All of her outfits were bangin and so was her hair.
I just have to say that I love Prince. What other man do you know that can rock a white suit with turqoise shirt and still look fierce?????
I must be the only one that can not stand that Corrine Bailey Rae, she sounds a hot mess to me.
I know Chris Brown is just a child but he can still get the business, all day everyday.
I read somewhere that Beyonce was very sick, which would account for that tired performance. She sang that song on Oprah and tore it up.
