Stila is my life. Great eye colors (KITTEN!!!!) & the lip glazes are awesome too.

My mom showed me some stuff but I think it was the girls at the Stila counter at Bloomingdale's who taught me the most!!

Need help finding a tinted moisturizer!
I don't wear make-up- usually just some tinted lip gloss like the burt's bees shimmer wand things. But I do use a moisturizer every morning or else my skin is very dry. I was hoping to find one that is not too heavy or oily that will help blend my skin tone more, still look natural, etc. Any suggestions? I went to the mall the other day and sampled an Aveda one on one side of my face. After walking around with it for a bit i decided it was too heavy/oily- unless she just put it on me too heavy or something. The Clinque counter swiped a thin line down my other cheek and it seemed to be ok, but I think she didn't put enough on...
What other brands are out there? I was hoping to not buy something quite as expensive as Aveda or Clinque- but if there is nothing else- those prices $25/26 are my limit, so please don't recommend something else any higher!

I haven't tried it myself, but Sephora has a house brand tinted moisturizer for under $20.00.

Philosophy has two tinted moisturizers both containing sunscreen. Supernatural SPF 15 i often use as a primer for make up during the day and recently at the beach and the pool and I loved it. Their Shelter moisturizer/sunscreen for the face is SPF 30 and also comes in tinted. I havent tried that myself personally though (but it's on my agenda!). YOu can check out the prices on that as Sephora.com or philosophy.com

Maybe I missed it, I have been reading thru posts....

Can anyone recommend an overnight tanner for skin, I don't want to be stripey. I've almost always had a tan, growing up at the beach. But having a spot just below by nose removed, it was the first stage of skin cancer, last year ended that. I am going to an event next weekend, and look like a ghost.

I have never been into makeup, my sister isn't, nor is my mom. I may have to join the world of makeup, beyond lip gloss and eye shadow. What I have is way old, and have read/heard enough to know it must go.

Have you considered airbrushing? A reputable salon should be able to set you up with an actual, human airbrusher instead of popping you in to a little box to be sprayed by a machine.

That said, I like the machine, but will use the L'oreal gelee in a pinch.

Airbrushing, no haven't considered it, maybe because I think of it in photo touchups, guess I am really out of the loop. And will try gel, too, thanx. I need color, a few friends I havent seen in awhile, but saw this week both asked if I were ill. No, just no longer out there baking my body.

For a tinted moisturizer, I've been using Neutrogena's Glow. I'm very fair, but I've been using the Medium/Dark tone. It has an SPF of 25 and has been my friend all summer!

Unfortunately, their tinted moisturizer for the legs isn't as great - or I'm just clueless about putting it on without letting it streak!

This is exactly why I've stopped using self tanners altogether. My skin is quite fair too and I got tired of looking like a zebra! I have learned to embrace my fairness for the most part. I do like the Warmth all over face color by bare minerals on my face, neck, and decollete area "for a sunkissed glow" year round. This lady at the tanning salon down the street does immpecable airbrush tanning. She did my tan for my wedding. I go to her when I need a tanned look for an event and just fork over the twenty bucks (it's not a weekly thing so it's affordable!)

Can you get just your legs airbrushed? And, does it have to be really dark? I just want my legs to look "sunkissed" since the rest of me is more delicately tinted.

I'm pretty sure you can if you get the custom airbrusher-guy (I REALLY need to figure out what their job title is- the tan artist?) instead of the machine- I know where I go, they'll do you from just the neck up, so I'm sure they would do just your legs.

I do know that having the person do it is more expensive than doing a mystic tan in the machine/booth thing, but I guess you at least know the person knows which areas to concentrate on in order to not make it look like you've dipped yourself in a vat of orange paint

I finally found my best lip gloss! It's Estee Lauder's Tender Peach, and has an SPF of 15. Y'all may have noticed that all of my makeup has an SPF...

what up makeup heads!? friday, i found a tutorial on youtube showing how to remove eyeshadow (MAC in particular, but i imagine it would work for any brand) from the plastic pots so you can put it into a palette. i transferred 14 shadows from pot to palette today and now have room to make more purchases.

de-potting demystified
