So far I'm the only greek in the family....and obviously I'm an AOII for life!

My sister attends ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee and there isn't an AOII chapter there, but she's interested in being an alum initiate (same with my mom). My nephews are both in high school and are both interested in greek life. So, we'll see! Now, I just need a neice so that she can become and AOII!!!

My best friend is a KD, ChiO, and SDT legacy. Too bad there aren't any of those chapters at the University of Wyoming! She says she's kind of disappointed, but she's going through recruitment anyways!

My dad is a Kappa Sigma from UNC-Chapel Hill, and right now I'm a PNM . My cousin is graduating from high school in the spring, and she might be going to NC State. With so many sorority expansions that will happen in the next few years at State, she should definitely take advantage of the opportunity.

I'm the first person to go greek in my family.
I'm also a first generation college student.

I'm the only person whose greek in my family. But my boyfriends sisters went Theta at university, so that's almost like family.

My uncle-in-law (dad's sister's husband) is a DTD from Westminster College in Missouri, but I didn't find that out 'til after I'd pledged.

My dad, his brother, his brother's wife, and my mom were all in local "literary societies" at Illinois College, and I knew that growing up. They were pretty big into the boozing and the hazing, I think, and both of my parents expressed concern when I pledged. I assured them that Kappa was different.

Well if we're counting the boyfriend.... then he counts. None of his family went Greek though, so he's like me, the first in his family.

One of my uncles is a Phi Sigma Kappa alumnus and one of my cousins is a Sigma Chi active, but other than the two of them and myself, my entire family is non-affiliated.

I am the only member of a GLO in my family that I know of. We haven't had a family reunion in a long time, so I could have some long lost cousins or something who are also members of GLOs
