Seriously, those commercials are the worst.
I hate the commercial of the Black mother and daughter with secrets.
Black mother: I paid a guy $200 to take you to prom.
Black daughter: Whatever Raekwon from around the way is taking me to the prom.
SECRET DEODORANT. Blah blah blah

^^ you seen the new version of this. It starts with that annoying chant. all the sudden out of the blue screen comes an angry looking black man. He again says the chant, states I hate your commerical but your product works.
It's a little more irritating than the original.

I feel the same way about the one that advertises the Black Male who sings "Unbreak my heart" in the valley girl voice. I think that commercial is so degrading to African American men. He looks like a dayum fool sitting on that workout bench in them lil biddy azz shorts and singing that dayum song!

I have three....
The one that I absolutely hate with a passion is the Honey Bunches of Oat where the lady sticks her head around the corner wearing what looks like a shower cap and hollers...say it with me yall..."Are u hungry?"...hate it, hate it, hate it
The other one is the oreo with the little girl and her grandmother licking the white stuff. Why do they have to lick the cookie like that
For my New Orleans folk, yall remember the commercial where the couple say that they got a cash advance so they could go on vacation and the man sings...."Who's the man that got me some cash"
....then they had the nerve to have a second one where the couple was on the beach

You know what commercial bothers me? This might be silly, but I always get a little irritated at the commercial with the young black male sitting at the kitchen table with his mother. He begins to tell her that he found a way to pay for school and something about him joining the army yadda yadda yadda. I guess the part that disturbs me the most is the mothers reaction to her son. She seems sooo uninterested, apprehensive and apathetic to what he had to say. It just makes it seem like black mommas are not excited about our children's future. I don't know maybe I read too far in into that commerical.

I never noticed much about the oreo one except that grandma is random and a waitress.
What's wrong with how they are licking the oreo? I personally prefer to dunk them in peanut butter, but to each their own!

I don't think that Capital One commercial is anymore degrading to black men as a whole than the one with the two old ladies tlaking like rednecks is degrading to little old ladies.
I personally think it's pretty funny. No idea how it looks bad for black men as a whole.
