I loved the Jay-Z/Linkin Park/Paul McCartney set...and for those of you that didn't pick up the Jay-Z/Linkin Park 'Collision Course' CD/DVD.....that was hot, I loved the album. Don't sleep on it.

My official wrap up-
Mariah- She sounded a little tired on We Belong Together(although still very good) but Fly Like a Bird was simply AMAZING. Her gestures were a bit manic but I love her so I could care less. Vocally she is still incredible. I agee MG her voice is much better when singing in her natural voice. She won 3 Grammys(though not televised ) and I'm pleased ..considering her 15 year drought since her debut(amidst a zillion nominations). This is the first time in her career since her debut that she has had commercial and critic success. Great night for Mariah
Kelly Clarkson- was great LIVE and I'm glad she chose Because of You. The lyrics are great. She won 2 and I ain't mad she had a good year
Christina Aguilera- Good. No one should ever sing A Song For You. I've only heard 2 versions that I love Donny(of course) and Whitney did it live in DC. Donny gave it the emotion it needed, Christina didn't.
U2- I don't get it....why they won and why MJB
John Legend- Good. He was muffling his voice a bit but he was good and the lyrics are really good on that song
Kanye- Will someone please make him an honorary member of a Greek Org He's crying out for attention. His performance was good though I need Jaime to really release his inner Ray Charles it's getting annoying.
Sly Stone- THERE ARE NO WORDS.. but glad that you are alive
Madonna- looked really good and I love to see her perform
All in all a decent show.

Yes, Jubilance, Donny IS the standard. Christina did well, IMO.
The Tribute to NO was POO! I was thinking folks would have been second lining, etc. I guess my expectations are too high.
Fly Like A Bird was terrific. I LOVE that song!
Ciara... why?
Terri Hatcher...lawd!
Kanye and Jamie were good.

I agree with everything except for U2. I'm a HUGE U2 fan (since I was 6) and everything they come out with is GOLDEN!!!

Sly Stone...
Boomshakalaka boomshakalaka.
See, that took me back. My sister had a bunch of Sly and the Family Stone albums in the late 1960s, so I sort of grew up on him, Jimi Hendrix, et al. I enjoyed that.
And I was dying at Kanye and Jamie Foxx in the marching band gear.

I fell asleep really early and didn't see much. I did, however, hear Mariah Carey's horrible performance.
Looks like Soror Alicia Keys has dropped about 20lbs. I was wondering when someone was going to put her on a diet. In the current BET commercial she looked a bit chunky.

Yup. Alicia did lose some weight. She looks beautiful.
I loved the Jamie and Kanye performance. The best I think! It was hilarious!
Mariah was having some kind of attack. Her performances suck but, "Fly like a bird" is a great song and that was good (choir and background vocals helped alot).
Kelly Clarkson put on a good show. Her voice was great! Love the CD!
But can someone tell me what Gwen Stefani was wearing? I know she is pregnant but man, that was UGLY! Especially for her to be voted best dressed for 2005!

I think they were, 2D.
Although I hate to admit that I was waiting for Rebirth to close out the show....

I thought your baby daddy was Luda! You're going to drop him for Common?
And why I was thinking the same thing about Sly! Hey, at least he showed up!
With Ciara's outfit, I thought I was back in the 80s with the short, tight dress and the big hair. She needed to give the horse its tail back.
Did anyone besides me noticed that Mariah's hair color didn't totally match? I could tell where her actual hair stopped.
I wonder if Randy Jackson confronted Kelly Clarkson after she didn't mention AI when she won.

I waited for this?
The Grammy's just aired for the first time in Germany last night and I wasn't all that impressed.
I thought Mariah's performance was awful, at least during the first song. I also need someone to explain why they didn't do more televised presentations? Although I'm not a fan of Kelly Clarkson, her performance was really good! Loved Christina but had to pump the brakes on Ciara- HC I didn't even recognize her? My sister and I were trying to figure out who the hoochie was in that little dress that was screamin' " 5 dollar sucky, sucky"!
Overall, I could've done without this years Grammy Awards

I agree. The show was BLAH. Ciara REALLY can not sing. I still love Steven Tyler's voice. I was feeling Christina's song, but it seemed rushed. I was not impressed with this show at all.
