When I was looking at the episode last night I was thinking the exact same thing about Lila's looks. I won't call anyone ugly.....but she is for real very, very...did I say very unattractive!!

I'm looking at the show and I'm like what's make them think that she is attractive. Did you all dig that outfit she came to the office in. I know Kenny doesn't have a conventional office, but didn't he tell her about the way she should dress back when she was first working for him?

Now as for Ben bangin ole girl in the bathroom.....that was just straight NASTY!!

Lem's mom....not even going to touch that...but I agree with who said that Debbi Morgan is acting her booty off in that role.

Terri definitely needs to talk to the original therapist to get help. What about when she was trying to find therapist on her own and the woman wouldn't tell her anything about herself so she was like we will just sit here in silence.....but my favorite was when the couple was like it's time and they took off their clothes...was anyone esle CTHU?

Not only was I CTHU but I thought to myself that old girl was sounding like a therapeutic Miss Cleo.

OOOOO I forgot to say I shed a few tears when Terri toasted Lem and Kenny last night. I thought oops Terri musta said Bird's lines or Max's because surely she is not loving Lem.

Even Lem tripped off of it.

Lila looks a hot mess and she dresses raunchy but it still does not hide her unattractive features.

I CANNOT wait til Max finds out about Lila & Kenny! I wanted to beat her UNATTRACTIVE BEHIND when she showed at their house. WTH?!?!

I was CTHU @ nudie docs too. It was good to see Terri not being so serious.

I agree Debbie Morgan (I still call her "Angie" from All My Children--LOL) was the bomb.

Delp998, I liked Bird's hair too. Let's hope they keep it that color.

I'll have to admit, I missed looking @ Damon's pretty tail last nite, but my crush on Lem is getting stronger & stronger...LOL

Can I ask a question.......I have watched every episode of Soul Food and I have to agree with Kenny "Nothing Happened" Sure SHE KISSED HIM but he made it clear that there was Nothing and it was WRONG! Sure he was attracted to her but besides a few dreams what did he really do that was so wrong?

Sure she may not be the prettiest girl on the block but aren't we in this same group talkng about how looks should not matter so much. ....

FIRST ANSWER: He did nothing wrong but he was not honest with himself. I think Kenny is "intrigued" by Lila because she is the only woman his wife who has shown him sort of interest and dang near wanted to act on it. Being intrigued by Lila and having an attraction is not wrong, but ACTING on it is. Thankfully Kenny knows his wife might break her foot off in Kenny's John Brown hindparts.

LILA'S LOOKS: Yeah but we are talking about for us.

LOL, no I mean Lila is pretty in her own way

but it is a way that not nary a one of my felllow respondents and I can see.

I really tried but the other night LILA was looking a HOT MESS in a trampy sort of way. That bathroom scene solidified for me what I thought.

Someone commented how Angie looks good for her age and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree because I remember her and Jesse hooking up in 1981 as a first grader and wanting a man as cute as Jesse -- he was a big screen roughneck.

While he did not act on it, he certainly thought about it. But really it has been his behavior since. He did act like there was omething when he introduced Lila to his father. He did act a mess making them sit far apart at dinner. (Even Max looked at him funny for that one.) It is that behavior that gives the impression he still has a strong attraction to her and makes him look guilty. If you don't want her, don't act like you do.

I had to laugh at the bathroom scene. Remember Bird and Lem in the Bathroom at Big Momma's house in the movie? Come to think of it, all the sex in the movie was standing up. No beds for these folks.

Hell, I remember when she GUEST STARRED on "Good Times" in the 70's and she STILL LOOKS THE SAME!!!

Plus she gave Ms. Lynn Whitfield a run for her money in "Eve's Bayou"....Go Ms. Debbie!!
