TVGuide.com: Are we going to see a final showdown?
Royo: You're going to see something! You're going to see a hell of a lot of something… you know Bubbles got to get money for that type of information!

More here.

^^I betcha Randy, Dukie and Namond will end up dead by the end of the season! I think Michael will end up injured at the most, because it would be to predictable to kill him off!

I think something bad will happen to Dukie because of Michael.

It was pretty good..... you will see 50% of the boys from the previous season. The introduction of the "media" as a theme and plot device was seamless.

You will be disappointed at how they continue to jerk around the major case squad. But they had to do certain things to propel the plot.

AND..... certain elements from season TWO are reintroduced, and I was happy for that.

I read that was the theme they were going for. I like how each season has looked at crime from different angles and had themes. You had the streets, distribution (docks), police force, school system, politics, etc. It keeps the series fresh and interesting.

The Wire brought me out of lurkdom!!

Dam y'all with On Demand the ability to watch early!!!

Are we going to have some rules about what is revealed and what is not for us folks that have DirecTV or do not have the ability to watch early or do I just need to avoid this thread?

I did watch the HBO show that previewed the season. I am so excited!

I think we need to make a pact--no discussing The Wire until Mondays!

I have OnDemand but I'm in Dallas right now instead of back in Houston so I can't watch yet but I'm soooo excited that I don't know what to do with myself! I think I'm going to cry when this season is over.
