Wow. The last thing I need to do is miss my plane. But...here's roughly the timeline we're looking at
Swissmiss lands at Laguardia at around 1130
Swissmiss checks her bags in at JFK around 1
Swissmiss catches the subway into the city around 130
Swissmiss makes it to Chumley's around 2
Swissmiss says her goodbyes and departs around 430
Swissmiss makes it back to JFK around 515 or 530
Swissmiss takes off in the giant bird to Egypt at 630
Does this seem realistic? Someone let me know if my times are off. If it's undoable, maybe we can lunch at the airport (how lame am I?!).

Just to add...I'm taking a cab between LaGuardia and JFK. Are there still lockers at JFK to check your carryons and stuff?

I don't think you're giving yourself enough time to get from JFK to the city and vice vera. Using the A train with a bus transfer is about 1 hour 15 minutes but with weekend service I would give myself 1 hour 30 minutes to be on the safe side. An alternate route is transfering to the Q10 bus from the E/F in Kew Gardens (forgot the exact name of the stop) but I am not sure how long that takes.

Ok now I'm awfully confused. Someone please tell me the quickest possible ways to get everywhere I need to be. Cabs, subway, bus, whatever. I just need to ensure that I get to JFK before 5:30.

The A train, aside from a cab, is the quickest way.

Ok what kind of get together is this . . like a long day of feasting that leads into a night of drunken debauchery?
Or merely a tame lunch or tea time chat?
Last time, because of lovelyivy and cashmere i barely made it home alive

No drunken debauchery for me.
So who is going to Chumley's on Saturday? What tme does it start? When I called Chumley's, I was told they open around 12 for lunch/brunch. The nearest subway is the 1/9 at Christopher Street.
Swissmiss, there is a bus between LaGuardia and JFK. I checked the website and came up with this:
Service Approximate Frequency & Travel Time
New York Airport Service Express Bus
(718) 875-8200
$11 Every 30 minutes
7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
45 minutes
Taxi (Metered)
Go to Uniformed Taxi Dispatcher
$19-$22 On demand
30 minutes
Private Limousine/Van Service
Go to Ground Transportation Information Counter in Airport Baggage Claim Area
Prices vary On demand
30 minutes

Hey...looks like I'll be doing the cab thing. So what is the name of stop I need to get off of to get to Chumley's? Anyone want to meet me at the stop so I don't wander and get lost?
