I was getting ready to post on here about what a hard time I am going through right now...and I read over ADPiUCFs posts and I do not even feel right complaining about such a piddly thing as hating my job. I am thinking of you Abbey and your family.
I hate my job so much and I cannot stand to come to it day after day. Things are getting worse and worse....my best friend in the office is being laid-off next month and so is another person I am close with. That leaves us with 3 including me and I only get along with one of the other 2. We may have a possible 4th if we hire someone part-time. It is physically making me ill and with already having anxiety disorder/depression this does not help. I cannot leave because there are no jobs in this area and I just bought a house and my boyfriend cannot up and leave his job. Please just think of me in the next month or two as I look for a new job. I am going to have an interview soon for a job or two, but nothing can be to promising....and I have to stay pessemistic because of my past history in job hunting. Thanks sisters.

Is there anytihng they can do for him? I will pray for you and Geronimo; I know how it feels to lose a pet. It is just as bad as losing a person. They are, after all, part of the family.
Would everyone please pray for my best friend's sister baby. He is born at 12:30 Saturday moring with bacterial spinal mingitis and they don't think he is going to make it. If he does he will have brain damage and be blind, deaf, etc. His name is Matthew Bryce Aucion. Please, please, please pray that he is okay. Thank you so much!!

Okay everyone, I could REALLY use your prayers over this next week. Long story short, I have to take the GRE next Wednesday in order to hopefully get into graduate school for this fall. I was using the practice questions given on the GRE site, and I'M DOING REALLY BAD!!!
Please keep me in your thoughts this week, because I REALLY don't want to have to pay another $115 to take the test over again
Thanks!

Yeah, that's all I'll basically be doing for the next week. Since I'm taking it computer based, I basically had my pick of dates, and since I'm housesitting all next month and need to be nearby (I suppose), I figured I better take the exam before I start housesitting in two weeks....so, I registered today for the test a week from today
Normally, I do pretty good at the math sections, and okay on verbal....but today's practice tests were PITIFUL!
The analytical section scares me a little, too....

Good luck, if I never take a standardized exam again it will be a blessing. The one thing I rememeber is that you just have to keep practicing. Kaplan came to Allegheny and offered everyone a free practice GRE exam, I went in cold and did pretty bad. In the end, after several run throughs and a brush up on my vocab and math, I did much better than my first run through. Dont worry about the analytical section, its just a bunch of BS and what they are really looking for is that you can structure sentences and paragraphs in an essay in logical way that flows. PM me if you have any questions or if I can be of any help.

polarpi, good luck to you!
I'm taking the Praxis (French Content Knowledge section) this Saturday, and even though I know my stuff, I'm really nervous because I haven't taken a test like this since the SATs junior year of HS!

I'll be praying for you, Polarpi, my sweet V&P! Also I'll pray for you, ForeverDiamond. I hope you both feel a sense of peace and calmness that allows you to concentrate!

another request
polarpi & FD- good luck and I'll keep you both (belatedly FD) in my prayers. I'm not a fan of standardized tests at all!
And now another request, one of my old youth minsters/friends died Friday night after fighting cancer. He was only 33 and had been diagnosed a year ago... if you could keep his wife, family and friends in your prayers, especially as we all travel to the funeral, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Absolutely will my thoughts and prayers be with his family and friends (including you) during this difficult time. Now my previous prayer request seems so flimsy and unimportant in a time like this.

Re: Re: another request
Nothing is EVER too flimsy or unimportant in the eyes of God.
The power of prayer, where there are many souls focused on a single goal, is amazing.

I know that, and appreciate all the prayers I can get. But when *compared* with the needed prayers for a family during a time of sorrow, prayers for a test seem a little less consequential.

Sisters, there are a lot of changes going on in my life right now. I am coming to you in the hopes that you can add David and I to your prayer lists. We have of decisions to make in the near future and some will be very difficult, or challenging. None of them are bad, but I still hope that we choose the direction God would have us go. Thank you for all your support.

knowing that you're in the will of God is certainly the way to go!!
I have a request: I went to the movies yesterday, and had buttered popcorn. Within 2 hours, it had me SO SICK, I have spent most of my time in the bathroom. I can't hold anything down, and I'm expelling blood. I don't have a doctor right now, but my mom's wants me to go to the hospital, but it's storming really badly. I really don't want to go to the hospital, I just want to sleep...
