Some of these bring back fond memories. I remember the ghost tracks and calling the donkey lady. I often shopped at Joske's and we spent a great deal of time at Playland Park(is it still around?) I also shopped at Winn's all of the time and still have some cheap jewelry from there. My uncle use to do all of the electrical work for HEB. I am not familiar with Espada park.
My white mom does make the best mexican rice and refried beans. She always judges a mexican food restaurant by its rice. And, I do remember the parade sniper.
