They interviewed people in Rome, and most people didn't even know about the scandal over here. The spokepeople for the Vatican said that if he didn't carry out his duties in Rome, it would be worse as he would be shirking his duties as a Cardinal.
Victims here are quite heated though, and well they should be. I wouldn't be happy if I saw this guy getting all of this attention.
