Had to bring this one up again b/c I have another new Pet Peeve.

If you break plans for me b/c you have an "emergency" then it had damn well better be some freaking emergency. I had dinner plans w/a friend a few nights ago. She called & told me she had a family emergency so I said we'll do it again some other night. I ran into her husband at Blockbuster who preceeded to tell me that they were having a night alone together. There was no family emergency! If you would rather spend some time w/your significant other, at least be honest & don't lie. I was worried thinking something had happened to her sick grandparents.

Principals with no backbone. Had a kid say "fuck you" to me among other things he said & did. He hit a child in my classroom & the principal had him sit in the office for an hour before returning him to class. He didn't want to call the parents b/c they are the type to go ballistic if you accuse their child of anything. I was supremely pissed so I called the parents & have a conference w/them tomorrow. My union rep will also be there b/c our principal is a spineless weenie that lets the parents decide the course of disciplinary action.
