I can believe it. Merrill Lynch probably didn't want bad publicity, plus it seemed like BGA was too busy being Mr. Starruh. Also, BGA didn't make that much $$$ -- I read somewhere that his base salary was $100K, which is respectable but certainly not worthy of gushing over.
