My husband is Seven foot tall (no, i'm not joking) while I am not 4'10"-- I am 5'3", so pretty much the same height difference you are looking at.
Since you will probably ask I weighed 90lbs when we started dating--- the overall difference in body size can make a difference-- but you can get use to it......
