I hope everyone had a great weekend! It is rainy and depressing here...at least I do not have children today. Yeayyy for workdays and not getting anything accomplished. I am going home in a bit.

Ok--I need my sisters to do me and my family a favor. I don't know if I told this board that my mom was going through some health issues and having test done. (i know I have told the SS girls) My parents have gotten the test results back and we were told this weekend (while my brother and I were both home) that Mom has cancer of the liver, colon and lungs. It was detected soo late because her blood pressure and dibetic meds. covered up the symptoms and lab test. She is the most determined, strong, and positive person ever. She is determined that she is going to fight and survive, no matter what. Right now, we are looking at 6 months, but we will find out something more diffent on Thurs. PRAY PRAY PRAY! Call home and tell your family how much you love them and how much they mean to you! Mom is as hard headed as I am and with her attitude, anything is possible. My borther is handling this in a very angry, bitter way. Daddy is being wonderful, and of course, I am the emtional wreck, but I am getting better. The support from Surfing Sisters has been overwhelming and wonderful. If you ever get a chance to join that group, do it! Our sisterhood has been sooo supportive and made this soo much easier than being alone. I can't begin to describe how much meaningful everything is now Like mom has said, Live strong and pray!
