Unfortunately that scenario doesn't seem too likely. During my time we did find an item or two from alumni, just copies of composites though. In the 20 years we did have brothers try though.
The 70's and early 80's was when Umass got it's nickname "The Zoo." I met some of the guys from that era and from the stories they told me, THEY WERE CRAZY, even by my standards! If you have ever watched the movie "Blow," when they mention Umass-Amherst, the guy means the Gamma Zeta house. I guess he stayed there quite a bit and got alot of "business" from the fraternities. Under the circumstances that they lost their charter, I'm pretty sure saving things from the past wasn't on their list. And the fact that PiKE (the only fraternity crazier than ours at the time) rented our house after we left, I'm pretty sure they didn't go through the trouble of preserving our history.
Also any resources going to LXA from Gamma Zeta right now would be strictly to re-colonize.
