I really thought Kahlen was going to win--so disappointing. I do think that Kahlen could go on though--I actually was shopping the other day and saw some picture of a model in a sunglass store and thought it was Kahlen! I think the whole covergirl of the week thing is what made Naima the winner. I just really wasn't that impressed with her after like week 2.

This is what I was thinking. I think the judges knew that Kahlen actually has more model potential than Naima. Kahlen's pictures were better and, as kddani points out, she was pegged as one of the best catwalkers from the start. She takes better pictures, has the walk, and Janice even insisted that Kahlen has a better proportioned body for the swimsuit modeling.

I have a feeling the whole CoverGirl sponsorship played a major part in deciding who won. If being a spokesmodel wasn't a part of the prize package, then Kahlen probably would have won. As it is, Naima did better on that account and thus they picked her so as to not upset the sponsor (by giving them a girl who has a hard time delivering her lines).

I'm not sure I agree with you on the "more confident and well spoken" statement. I recall a few times where the judges commented that Naima's presentation was flat, boring and that "they didn't know who she was". I kind of got the impression that Naima was forcing herself to "open up" for the sake of winning during that last episode. She knew she had to "fix" her introspectiveness or else lose. I have a hard time believing that someone who was just sooo mysterious and closed off for weeks and weeks was all of a sudden peppy and outgoing. Kudos to her though for knowing how to meet their expectations.

With all of that said, I'm not completely disappointed that Naima won. I wanted Kahlen to win, but I think that Naima is very interesting and I hope she does great. I am certain that Kahlen will kick butt in the modeling world - *someone* is going to offer her a big, fat contract I'm sure! (and she won't have to jump around in CoverGirl commercials!)

I disagree that Kahlen has a better walk than Naima. IMO, Naima stole the whole runway show. As Tyra would say, she "owned" it, she was "fierce."

While I was watching the recap show, I remembered how much more spunky and outgoing Naima was at the beginning. I know she closed up for a lot of the competition, but I don't think she was "faking it" for the CoverGirl shoot. It was very natural...I just think she was opening up a part of herself.

I have to agree and say that Kahlen was jipped. I mean all the judges said that Kahlen had either one of the best, or THE best portfolio of all the America's Next Top Model seasons...and what happened?

I like Naima, but I dont think that she should have won. I thought to myself, If I saw those Covergirl pictures in a magazine, which girl would make me want to go out and by the product more. Well my answer was Keenyah, with Kahlen a close second. I think that picture was great...it wasn't a "posed" shot like Naima, it was one of those pictures you would take when you are just having fun. I thought Kahlen performed awesome during the runway show, and I really didn't like Naima's performance.

To me, Kahlen has more longevity in this business and although she didn't win the contest, I think she's gonna go far. I mean, I dont see any of the other winners doing anything (except for Eva), i'm always seeing the runner's up on commercials and stuff (except for Yaya).

Twiggy? You have gots to be kidding me. Congratulations, ANTM, you've officially jumped the shark. I'm glad that J. Alexander will be joining the panel, because I doubt that Twiggy can be held to Janice's standards. Ya gotta have the bitch in there somewhere!

I don't care, though...because just as long as Nigel's still there -- I'm happy.

Janice was pretty much the reason I watched that show. She's deliciously bitchy and great fun to watch.

Thumbs down

Janice was like the "Simon" of ANTM. I'm really disappointed that she left.

I will SO miss Janice! I hope she comes back. I mean she's not doing anything else or anything.

There is a fashion spread with Kahlen, Keenya, and Naima in the new US Weekly with Lindsey Lohan and Nicole Ritchie on the cover. Naima has a lil fro now and just isn't cute at all. Kahlen has a haircut to like her shoulders and looks amazing. And Keenya looks really good as well. I'm just not happy with Naima's win this season...

Keenyah does look great but it's so hard to see a person as beautiful with a personality like she had with the other girls.

Kahlen should have won. Hands down. She looks awesome without those nasty extensions in her hair.

And what's her name, can't remember, last picture. As much as I loved her, she does have that icy stare.

Season Two winner, Yoanna House, is the new host of the Style Network's show "The Look For Less," replacing Elizabeth Filarski Hasselback (The View).

Good for her. That'll be fun. And with Elisabeth pregnant, or having delivered, it's time for her to be a mom.
