Yes, truth does come into play with your opinion.

But opinion is liking chocolate over vanilla. Fact is saying chocolate comes from the cocoa bean.

What this thread is referencing is a factual error regarding Canadians sending troops to Vietnam, correct?

This thread isn't referencing an opinion on Canadian relations with America through the years.

Yes her fact on Canada was wrong. Will it ruin her career? No. Why should it? We can often all be wrong. Newspapers ALWAYS run correction notices in future papers because of that. But this was an interview and I don't know what protocol is regarding that. If it was the case that she lied always and is wrong on everything, then she wouldn't be writing for certain publications she writes on now.

Well other than the fact that she got such basic facts fucked up...

My take (please note MY TAKE) is that she represented the facts in a manner to back up her arguement - in this case that Canada had always supported the US until now, but doesn't anymore because of it's "Liberal" government.

This however is a gross misrepresentation (won't say lie) that many Canadian governments have in fact gone to war - even before to US -

However is this case she got caught in her "rant" (misrepresentation/lie) about a really general and well understood fact - the fact that more "journalists" at Fox haven't called her on her crap is actually more disapointing...

Sorry but she is a pathetic media hack - not a reporter or journalist.
