"In elections when a sister is running for an eboard position and is asked if she has a C+ average, or will have it for the following school semester, when is it that you take her word for it and when do you need to see proof"
You should already have her previous GPA in hand, if the scholarship committee is doing her job correctly. Each sister is required to turn in a copy of their "report card" after the semester ends....our chapter gave us two weeks after the newest semester began to turn in our grades. If this is not happening, the scholarship chair needs to get ontop of it. Besides, National needs to know your chapter GPA for awards, etc.
A sister should also not be behind in paying dues if the bursar is doing her job correctly. That sister should be on a payment plan, and if she's not fulfilling her side of the deal, sister who hasn't paid should be brought before Judicial Board (or whatever it's called now). Being in good financial standing is really important when having a position.
If you are the only person feeling this way, make sure you bring it up when you vote. Let the sisters know how you feel when you speak about the candidates who are running for the position. An unreliable sister should not have an E-board position. She's already shown you her history.
