back when i was on birth control pills, i successfully argued with the insurance company and got them to cover the cost, minus my co-pay. the logic i used was that it cost them a lot less to supplement the cost of my birth control pills that to pay for pre-natal visits and health care for a newborn. it might be worth you time to try.
