Hey Ladies!!!
I just got home and I am a proud new member of
CHI OMEGA!!!!!
AHHHHH, I am so happy, I am so excited, and I am on cloud nine.
Today was a lot of fun... Bids werent handed out until like 11:30 (those thirty minutes in the Auditorium were KILLING me!) and then we found out which Sorority each Gamma Chi was in. Mine were all in Kappa, which was cool, but I never really bonded with any of them (you lovely ladies were my Gamma Chis...) Then, we opened our bids and mine said Chi Omega and we were all soooo happy.
We loaded onto a bus and headed to a Mexican Restaurant on St. Charles, where we got our tee shirts and our Bid day Buddies/ Owl Pals. Mine is the girl that rushed me on the very first day, the girl that TravelGirl wanted me to meet on the skit night, and who preffed me last night. She is super super sweet, and is from California also. Then we ate Tacos (mmm!!) and I met a bazillion girls.
Oh! On the bus we learned all of the songs that they couldnt sing to us during Recruitment, and they were all so funny and completely unexpected.
Then, we headed back to the house, were serenaded by 4 frats (all of whom told us that we were their favorites)introduced ourselves to the entire chapter, and laughed at the Seniors (who, while we were at Lunch, were at a Champagne Brunch), took pictures, and got goodie bags.
It was such a great day, and I am looking forward to an excellent pledge period and experience with Chi O for the rest of my life.
Thank you guys so much for all of your support, kind words, and advice. You all made my experience so much easier and so much better, and I will forever be indebted to the kind ladies on GC!! See you all on other boards!!
