I saw a link to an article on her passing on a news site- instead of saying "Rosemary Kennedy dead at 86" it said "Retarded Kennedy Sister dead at 86"

It was because of Rosemary Kennedy, that Eunice Kennedy Shriver (her sister) founded the Special Olympics.

I thought so, too. A mention of the reason Eunice Shriver got involved with Special Olympics could have appeared further down in the article.

Her sister is a member of my church so the priest asked us to pray for Rosemary Kennedy and her family.
