Three days till I and my chapter leave for our international Conclave in New Orleans

Five days till we arrive in New Orleans for 4 days of fun and brotherhood.

Seven days till I turn 21 surrounded by bros from all over the world.

I AM SO PUMPED.

dont worry, i dont plan on getting sick, just having a good party. what exactly is in a hurricane? my coworkers have told me i need to get one also.

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY Gmu Teke!!! I hope you have a great time at Conclave. It will be one of the best experiences in your undergrad career as a TKE. At least it was for me... when I went to Delta Zeta's convention last summer. You will be amazed!!

To answer your question about a hurricane.... It is a fruity drink with differnet kinds of alcohol ( I am not sure what), but it is served frozen, and really good.

I'll let you discover for yourself if you like Hurricanes. Just one word of caution -- they sneak up on you! Take it low and slow.

I think Pat O'Brien's is on St. Peter's between Bourbon and Royal Streets (in the French Quarter) if I remember correctly. It's been a while since I've been down there and I need to get back.

Also, for you and all of your brothers -- the NOPD can have a very bad sense of humor. You don't want them PO'd at you. Be careful, but...

Have a great time in NOLA. Although, being 21 down here means nothing. The only place that is restrictive about entry is Pat O'Brien's. If/when you get a hurricane, take it SLOWLY. They're damn strong.

Also fun to try is Tropical Isle's Hand Grenade. Another drink that will "sneak up on you"

If you get a chance to explore the city any, check out City Park, Audobon Park, the Garden District. Or come over to the Northshore of Lake Ponchartrain (where I live) and take a swamp tour. Note, that unlike the portrayal in the waterboy, all Louisianians don't live on the bayou/swamp and drive fanboats.

Ohhh, it is a must to try the a Grenade at Tropical Isle. There was some really cool club in the middle of Bourbon, they had a great 80's band and we were torn up. It was great because the band was trying to teach a bunch of drunk white kids how to do the electric slide. TOOO FUNNNYYY! Girl had to keep stopping the song, and go over it with them about 10 times. I finally got it tho.

Thanks to everyone who wished me well. We finally got back in from our road trip yesterday, and I'm now SO BEHIND in my GC posts.

To answer specific stuff:

1. Light and Dark Rum are in a hurricane.
2. Yes, I had one, and a Hand Grenade too.
3. The Tropical Isle is actually managed by a Teke, so there were brothers all over the bar, we got the private vip room upstairs.

It was fun to celebrate, but I'm done drinkin for a while-whew it was a wild wild week.
