I would be afraid to call 911 being of age though becasue there is a tendency for police to charge people over 21 at a party for supplying alcohol to the under-ager. So if they raise the charges for supplying alcohol to an underage person . . . that will deter a lot of people from calling.

Also, if you are underage, you can still be charged with supoplying alcohol to others.

I would LOVE to see that bill get passed. I can think of several instances where I've seen kids that probably should have gone to a hospital, but their friends refused for them, since they were underage. If this were to pass in other states, and was consistently a "safe haven" then I think we might see a lot less alcohol related deaths.

An example of this, the DC area right now has a free taxi ride if you call them, anytime during the holiday season. While they won't take you to a bar, they will take you home for no charge. One of my sisters is awful about driving drunk, and I know that she's used this service 3 times this year.

I know there is a fine line between what can be interpreted as encouraging minors to drink...but anything that we can do to prevent deaths from binge drinking, or accidents from a drunk driver is, in my opinion, very important.
