You know . . it sound slike they "condemn"pretty easily.

I always thought that condemining usually meant structural problems or problems with utility fixtures and basic safety issues.

Also, they normally give people a time to be in compliance with code in those situations. Makes you wonder why they just put the big old lock on the door. Would they have handled it that way witha family of four?
