Maybe its just my upbringing but I see it as...don't go advertising anything you aren't selling. I'm fine with all of the following "insults": uptight, boring, PC, prude...whatever. I just don't think that dressing up as a prostitute is A) all that original B) all that practical (Think fall night in Pennsylvania with "the goods" exposed). C) all that nice for everyone else, would you really feel all that happy about hundreds of coeds with their asses hanging out walking past your parents? Would you want all of your assets to be viewed by a professor/the creepy guy on your floor/every drunk idiot in Podunkland? That's my point.
