Actually, no one I know uses "y'all" as singular, so I would consider that wrong.

haha, I always say y'all singular, but most people don't and all of my friends make fun of me for it.
Anyways, I think the main difference between the north and the south is basic manners. I'm not saying that northerns have no manners, but like my aunt (from Boston) came down here to visit for Christmas and was amazed that guys open doors and help girls and everything. I think in the south people are a little more friendly too, like a lot of times complete strangers will like smile at each other and always end up talking in like an elevator or whatever...but the few times I've been up north it seems like they don't do this. Oh and I got a flat tire on the side of a highway and soo many people stopped and asked if they could help.
