When I was little, my aunt called me 'Monkey' because my dad owned a small pet supplies store and I used to climb on the dogfood bags. I don't think I had another nickname until sophomore year in H.S. where I earned the nickname 'Wheaties' because I could throw the ball from center field to home plate accurately.
You know, the power thing.
That same year, my best friend earned the nickname 'Cheeze' because, as one of our teammates said, everyone else had a nickname except her, and she needed one. I was there when she said "I know! We'll call you Cheeze!" LoL. And, it stuck! Most recently, I've earned the nickname 'Diva' because I really would prefer things to be my way!
