i think the term hispanic or latina is politically correct. simply because there are so many people who cant distinguish between a puerto rican, dominican, cuban, etc etc (you get my point ). im puerto rican and it annoys me, actually it pisses me off when someone asks me or refers to hispanics as "spanish". honestly im not from spain, no offense to those that are, but i think calling someone that is not from spain, spanish, is not right. another thing, while im rambeling i dont like it when people say "oh you can speak puerto rican". personally i didnt know that we had our own language.

i just think its best for people that dont know if a person is of a certain hispanic heritage, then they should refer to them as hispanics just to be safe.
