Maybe it was in the education section because it is a great study in poorly organized thoughts. I didn't think the writing was terrible, and SOME of the recommendations made some sense, but I thought the way she put her thoughts together wasn't very cohesive. As for following the girls through a year of school, I got into it... it reminded me of the Sweet Valley High books I read in middle school.
But I can't see how this book could be considered a case study. Or a study in women's behavior. I haven't seen AR's PhD in sociology, so.... I don't know how seriously I can take her recommendations. I don't think she did an effective scientific study, and if she's going to pass the book off as journalism, then she should omit the Sweet Valley High narrative.
