What is skank or skanky?

I totally agree.

When I hear "skanky," I think of someone from a lower socio-economic status. That's why when we have someone like, say, Paris Hilton...she looks promiscuous, but she's always well groomed and it's obvious that she takes care of herself. Still, I don't think she's skanky.

I this "lady" takes the cake on skanky, and I believe she should be the Skankys-R-Us posterchild:
