Try holding your breath. If that doesn't work, drink a whole glass of water without stopping. Drinking from the wrong side of the cup helps, too

This is totally unrelated, but on ER reruns the other day, a guy came in with hiccups he'd had for days. It turns out he had HIV

It was really weird.
