I can't help wondering if "lowering their standards" enough to take them would really have hurt the chapter the way I'm sure the exclusion from all sororities is hurting the girls; it's hard to believe that they're such losers or troublemakers that they couldn't find a niche in a 273-member chapter. From everything I hear, it sounds like that's not an easy campus to be bidless at.
I think that's a little harsh. I've never actually visited to this chapter, but in all four years as a Delta Gamma, I've heard a lot about it. It is a LEGENDARY chapter, and LEGENDARY house. It is practically our Alpha chapter, since our Alpha chapter closed and this chapter's in Oxford. Obviously, I can't go into too much on here, but I completely agree with their decision, because if there were 75 girls who met their standards, I don't think taking 5 more just to make quota was necessary. Especially since, from what I've heard, their standards are HIGH.
