The Deer Hunter - Robert DeNiro & Christopher Walken. That movie was deeply disturbing & literally frightened me. Anyone who has seen it knows exactly what I'm talking about.
M - Early 1900's German movie about a child serial killer. First movie to deal with split personalities & people hearing voices that command them to kill. Really creepy & disturbing. If you can find it, definitely watch it.
Soldiers Sweetheart - Based on the short story "Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong" from the book "The Things They Carried."
Young girl goes to visit her fiancee in Vietnam & becomes so engrossed in the life & warfare around her, she becomes a better sniper than the Green Berets & soon is immersed in the land around her. It's disturbing to watch her metamorphises from All-American girl to disturbed soulless woman with vacant eyes & a necklace made of human tongues.
