Well, I have been proven wrong. And Colby showed tonight (to paraphrase Kevin Garnett) that "it's not about the loot." I think Colby surprised a lot of people when he voted Keith off and chose to keep Tina for the final vote, when he knew he had a better chance against Keith. It's kind of cool that he did that though...he chose to keep the person who he felt was more deserving, rather than keep the person who would give him a better shot at winning the $1 million.

The final tally tonight was kind of different; everyone seemed to be in high spirits and not all that nervous. And it was a little surprising to see Colby totally overjoyed when Tina won. The whole thing seemed, for lack of a better word, more "manufactured" than the first Survivor. It didn't really capture the spirit of the game, with the winner being revealed in a cozy studio with a big audience, and everyone cleaned up, shaved, made up, etc. I think the final vote in the first Survivor had more impact. It was also different to see the jury voting for Tina and Colby, two people who everyone pretty much liked, instead of Rich and Kelly, who no one really liked all that much.

Hey, can't complain. It was a great season, and I'm already pumped for Survivor III.
