Continuous Open Recruitment (formerly COB) activities

Does anyone have any great suggestions for activities to be used for COR (formerly COB)? I am chapter advisor at Theta Phi chapter at University of Alabama at Birmingham (alumna of Zeta Xi at Auburn University - War Eagle!). We have had to participate in COR in the past, and we struggle with planning successful, inexpensive activities that allow for good conversation - that is, everyone suggests to go to the movies, but that activity isn't conducive to conversation. I appreciate everyone's suggestions.

we do coffee shops .... ice cream socials where everyone brings there favorite topping

In my chapter we have had ice cream socials. It was a nice event, but we didnt have that much fun becasuse we could not really talk in a crowded place.so the next event we had was held at my house. This one was so much fun. It was a day with AXiD. We did Girly things, we ordered pizza, ate junk food, played games and watched a movie. We had so much fun. This was better way meet the ladies.th they got to see us as who we are and it was a really comfortable atmosphere( everyone was encourged to dress in PJ's or something comfortable). I really liked this idea and we did get ladies to come out.

We had a barbecque last night, we're having a chapter dinner thing tomorrow. We've had PMS nights in the past, and ice cream socials and that sort of thing. Basically, a lot of chilling out with movies and games and such.
